v0.27.0 Main changes: Removed NPC "types" such as Thug and Thief. "Traveler" is now just an ordinary job (its heat-reduction service is unchanged). All accomplices are now universal and can be assigned to any crew position. Any male contact can now be recruited into the gang, though how hard it is varies a lot. The main factor in recruitment is now a new hidden NPC stat: their "Criminal record". So, like, NPCs who are already some kind of thug or ex-criminal are easy to recruit, while NPCs without a record can only be recruited if their depravity is high enough. An NPC's criminal record is unknown at first. You can learn it by asking directly (this costs a bit of friendship), on the second meeting (two meetings on the same day don't count), or once your friendship reaches 50. The record can also be revealed instantly the moment you meet someone, if your crew's scouts are skilled enough (combined cunning above 10). Reworked the burglary minigame: you can now "move on" to a new room for a fresh set of things to search. The loot table is slightly different (moonshine drops more often, so it's easier to use as an early gift, and gun parts can now drop from safes), and the chances have changed. Every burglary spot now has a cooldown, and heat gain is doubled. It also has a new slick UI. New UI for chases/races and a reduced race reward. Reworked the car theft minigame: it now consists of fixed stages ("Get in", "Silence the alarm" and "Start the engine"), each with its own skillcheck that you have to pass to steal the car, with options that trade time against risk. Cool cars get an additional "Car security" stage. Each district now has its own car theft cooldown, and heat gain is doubled too. And a new UI, of course. It's still super easy at high stats though. New implementations: Some actions now require a sex toy set from the sex shop. Boss can use the toy set in the bedroom when arousal stage is higher than 1. There's a fairly high chance that a crew member with benefits will try to join. Crew members with different dominance do different things. In the webcam minigame, if the Boss owns the Streaming Hub (i.e. controls the Harbor) and has more than 3 crew members with benefits, one of them may knock and ask to join her on stream. Letting him in is a bonus option that pays a lot of cash at once. The webcam minigame was also rebalanced: idling is no longer more profitable than fulfilling requests. Yeah, that was a thing. A new "weapon" that only the Boss can use: a pair of dobermans, bought from the Gold Digger for gold. They come with occasional flavor text in the Home passage, in crew yapping and in chauffeur yapping. Other changes: Added descriptions for every service option in the first stage of quickies. Added a glass-clinking sound to drinking interactions (bars, night club, strip club). A bunch of new media here and there. Slightly changed "Contacts" UI cuz of NPC changes. Fix: Fixed a rare "if" error from the processNews widget that could happen if the phone rang at the first visit to the Home passage in a new game. In the pipe: Okay, most of the early stuff is now in a somewhat "presentable" state, i suppose. For the next update, i'll try to implement black NPCs, something that has been requested many times since the very beginning. Most probably they'll be available only for quickies at first, but we'll see.
