Ren’Py visual novels come with a built-in developer console that allows players to inspect variables, grant unlimited money, boost character romance/affection levels, and warp between scenes. This tutorial explains how to enable the console in any visual novel.

Open the Game’s Ren’Py Common Directory
Open the unpacked game directory on your computer. Navigate through the following folders:
Game_Folder > renpy > common02
Edit the 00console.rpy Script
Inside the common folder, look for a file named 00console.rpy (make sure to open the .rpy file, not .rpyc).
- Right-click
00console.rpyand select Open with > Notepad (or VS Code / Notepad++). - Press Ctrl + F (or Cmd + F on Mac) to search for
config.console.

Change Console Setting to True
Locate the following configuration line:
config.console = FalseChange False to True:
config.console = TrueSave the file (Ctrl + S) and close the text editor.

Launch Game & Open the Console via Shift + O
Launch your game, load any save file, and press Shift + O (or Shift + D for the Developer Menu). The command prompt overlay will appear at the bottom of your screen.
Common Cheat Commands:
money = 99999— Set in-game currency to maximum.points = 100— Boost character affinity or lust points.renpy.jump("scene_name")— Warp directly to any scene in the story.
